Craig J. Ackermann
Craig J. Ackermann represents employees in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, wrongful-termination, and executive-employment matters. He has nearly 30 years of employment-law and class-action experience.
Overview
Since 2007, Craig has served as lead counsel in more than 2,000 class, collective, and PAGA cases involving more than 500,000 workers. He has won class certification in eight contested motions and has tried Title VII cases to verdict. His work also includes executive breach-of-contract and wrongful-termination matters resolved through arbitration.
His contested certification victories include a class of more than 3,800 truck drivers in a pending wage-and-hour case and a class of 540 drivers in a trucker rest-break case, and in another matter he secured a contested class recovery after seven years of litigation. His trial record includes a Title VII sexual harassment and retaliation case in federal court in Los Angeles, won at trial and again on appeal at the Ninth Circuit.
Separately from his work representing employees, Craig also serves as an employment mediator through an independent mediation practice. His experience evaluating and resolving workplace disputes as a neutral informs his approach to litigation and settlement.
